At various times of the year, the MLS Foundation welcomes donations of items. In particular, donated items are used for the Silent Auction in February and the raffle at the Golf Outing in July. This list will give you some guidelines and suggestions.

Silent Auction Ideas

Individuals will be bidding on items of their choice. A variety of choices works best. If you choose to donate more than one item, it would be best if they are different. Also check the Golf Outing ideas. Some ideas will be great for either Silent Auction or Golf Outing.

• Gift certificates to or for anywhere: restaurants, coffee bars, department stores, spas, etc.
• Music basket with CD palyer or stereo, tapes, gift certificates to music stores, CDs, tapes and carrying case
• Limousine service
• Beauty basket (filled with cosmetics, lotion, bath accessories, certificates to a spa, hair salon, nail salon, etc.)
• Construction services
• Gournet cooking basket/cooking lessons (with apron, utensils, cookbook, etc.)
• Vacation packages: can be a week, a weekend, or a day trip (Hotels/condos/cabin/bed & breakfast get-a-ways)
• Baking: such as one dozen cookies every month for a year
• Personal services: such as cleaning, cooking, baby sitting, personal organizer, party or dinner packages
• Bicycle/tricycle/skaeboard and gear/scooter/helmets and pads
• A child's wagon filled with outdoor activities and games
• Paintball package
• A dress up trunk full of stuff (for boy or girl)
• A child's cooking or gardening basket
• Bassinet, basket or stroller filled with everything needed for a newborn
• A child's tea or picnic basket filled with all things needed for a child and friend
• A basker full of "teenager stuff" (phone, CDs, mall certificates, gas card, movie passes, fast food coupons, etc.)
• Toys
• Professional services: such as dental, chiropractic, legal, vision, etc.
• Original artwork: oil or water paintings, sculpture, etc.
• Handmade quilts
• Theatre tickers/concert tickets.

Golf Outing Raffle Ideas

Donated items will be used for raffle. A value of $75 to $100 or higher is recommended. Donated items should be unisex in nature. The majority (but not all) of attendees are male. If a gift certificate is donated, it should be one that can be used anywhere. Our golfers come from various areas and not all are local.

• Golf packages/golf club(s): perhaps include balls, tees, bag, round of golf, shirts, etc.
• Tickets to theme parks: Disney, Cadar Point, Sea World, Michigan's Adventure, water parks or miniature golf
• a wheelbarrow full of gardening equipment
• Sports basket (consider including tickets to a game, hat, shirt, snacks, etc.)
• Hme computing basket (fill it with software, mouse pad, printer paper and other accessories)
• Fill a cooler full of beach accessories or camping gear
• Electronic equipment: such as CD player, stereo, television, computer, etc.
• BBQ Grill (indoor or out with accessories and certificates for steaks, beer, wine, etc.)
• Hotel stays
• Dad/Guys package (car accessories, oil changes, power tools, pay-per-view sporting events, pizza/fast food coupons)
• Hot Air Balloon ride
• Airline tickets
• Quad runner
• Camping/fishing package
