Adopt A Student

All are thankful for the blessings the Lord has showered on us. Possibly a new job, promotion, good health, or maybe financial security to meet our son or daughter’s tuition obligation.

Some families with students at MLS are desperately trying to make ends meet.  We have parents who have lost their jobs, are facing disability, or have had everything go wrong that can go wrong. These parents want to keep their children at Michigan Lutheran Seminary because they know the purpose MLS serves. Because they cannot meet the financial obligation, they may have to pull their children from school.

We have begun a program named Adopt a Student. This program was put in place to help those students who have a need for financial assistance above and beyond what we are able to give with our regular MLS financial aid package. Currently almost 10% of our student body is in need of additional financial assistance.

To date we have received gifts totaling more than $3200 from generous donors who helped six families with their financial needs.
