Court Street Players
Welcome to the MLS Court Street Players web page! Our organization is devoted to encouraging interest and involvement in the theater arts at Michigan Lutheran Seminary.
Under the guidance of Prof. Marcus Manthey, CSP stages two public productions each year. In the fall semester, a Children's Theater production directed by Prof. Kathy Kock and Prof. Becky Berg appeals to youngsters of all ages. In the spring, Prof. Manthey directs a show for a wider audience. On alternating years the spring production rotates between a musical and a stage play.
CSP also offers its members a wide variety of theater-related activities. Annual theater trips to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, as well as to other professional and amateur theaters across Michigan, allow members to enjoy the exciting experience of live theater on many levels. Periodic workshops and demonstrations help members to develop their knowledge and expertise in the theater arts. Larger scale activities, like the annual CSP Lock-In and the biennial Mystery Nite, provide chances to make lasting memories.
