Grade Reports

Permanent grades are given only at the end of each semester. The semesters are divided into three terms each for the purpose of monitoring academic progress. Reports are sent to parents at the end of each of the six terms with comments when necessary. Grade reports include letter grades in each subject area, effort, and conduct evaluations, a record of attendance, and helpful notes. At the end of the third and sixth terms, which close the two semesters, the grade report includes grades given for semester exams. Only semester grades become part of a student's permanent record.

MLS uses letter grades and the standard 4-point system, as illustrated below:
